Greetings Colleagues, I trust you're well.  Today I'm celebrating Langston Hughes' Broadway play "Mulatto." Opening in 1935, it has the distinction of the longest run of any play by an African-American, with more than 300 performances, until Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raising in the Sun."
Live Webinar - Thursday, November 5, 2:00 ET
Distance Education: Library Support for Students and Faculty

Technology changes are rapid and sometimes challenging to manage. Through technological advances, an unprecedented number of people are pursuing an online degree. Distance education provides the opportunity for students to attend classes remotely, with flexibility to study in any convenient location with an Internet connection.

Librarians provide a vital role for distance education students and faculty by assisting them with identifying, locating and evaluating needed resources. However, there are challenges with distance education, such as how to effectively and proficiently deliver library resources. This webinar will discuss the vital role of the librarian in delivering services to support distance education faculty and students. Librarians with an interest in distance education are encouraged to attend.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be provided skills and knowledge to:

  • understand the challenges of the distance education environment

  • provide library support to distance education students and faculty
