Kentucky State University News April 25, 2017 KSU launches The Institute for Lifelong Learning Kentucky State University (KSU) is set to expand its programmatic offerings to include the community and beyond by delivering a palette of attractive new courses. The Institute for Lifelong Learning's lineup includes Supper with Spanish, English to Speakers of Second Language (ESOL) to Dinner and a Movie, belly dancing, wine tasting and a slew of other exciting non-credit and credit-bearing courses are available to Frankfort residents. The intent is for the entire Frankfort community - young and old, professional and amateur alike - to find courses that appeal to them for personal development and professional growth. The Institute will offer courses for teachers and social workers who want to engage in continued education training credits even as it offers personal development skills in courses including wine tasting. Courses will be offered throughout the calendar year and will vary from three-weekend workshops to six-week seminars. "These classes are fresh, new, original, and fun," says Associate Provost Dr. Lorna Shaw-Berbick who organized and developed The Institute. "The Institute also will help high school students who would like extra help in Spanish, writing, math, or professionals in need of continuing education units may register right now." The Institute invites individuals interested in completing their GED or their college degree.
