Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you’re well and in good spirits.  See messaging below from Andrea Jackson Gavin at the Atlanta University Center Woodruff Library. Please share broadly and register for the Wednesday, November 3, 11:00 ET session.

Respectfully,

Sandra

Please join the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library and Project STAND on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 11:00 am ET for an informational webinar specifically for HBCU libraries and archives to learn more about the “Digital Flowers Shout Out” digitization micro-grant opportunities!

Through generous funding from The Mellon Foundation, the AUC Woodruff Library and Project STAND are pleased to provide digitization grants of up to $10,000 to assist institutions in making archives on BIPOC student activists and organizations more broadly accessible for research. Through our "Digital Flowers Shout Out" (DFSO) digitization micro-grant initiative, we will support equipment or vendor costs, hiring project staff, and/or related preservation supply expenses, as well as grant subscriptions for Archive-IT. The concise applications are due on November 22, 2021, and recipients will be announced in January 2022.  For more details on the micro-grants initiative, visit: https://standarchives.com/micro-grants/.

The webinar is co-hosted by the HBCU Library Alliance, and will be led by Andrea Jackson Gavin, Director of Engagement and Scholarship at the AUC Woodruff Library.  Jackson Gavin is an experienced archivist and successful grant-writer.

Register now for the Nov. 3 webinar at http://bit.ly/HBCUmicro.

*Is Thursday, Nov. 4, 2:00pm ET better for your schedule? If so, join us for the second informational webinar for all applicable institutions and organizations by registering at http://bit.ly/micrograntinfo.  The informational webinars will be recorded and made accessible for later viewing.
