Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well. See news below re: HBCU Library Alliance's partnership with the Digital Library Federation.

Authenticity Project Matching

As you are aware, the HBCU Library Alliance and Digital Library Federation (DLF) are engaged in the Authenticity Project.  This three-year fellowship initiative, funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), will provide leadership, mentoring and learning experiences to forty-five HBCU librarians. The DLF community will gain a heightened appreciation of the value and contributions of HBCUs to history and culture.

Follow this link https://www.diglib.org/opportunities/authenticity-project/2019-participants/ for an announcement on Authenticity Project fellows, mentors and conversation partner matches. Thanks to all who will support this very important initiative!

Digital Library Federation Membership

DLF Executive Director Bethany Nowviskie reached out to ask if the HBCU Library Alliance would be interested in an ongoing free DLF membership in acknowledgment of the partnership, mutual interests, and growth for DLF sparked by engagement with the HBCU Library Alliance. This free, automatically renewing membership will support me and any other Alliance staff members with one free DLF Forum registration per year, various discounts, and eligibility for special opportunities.  Board members could also register for the DLF Forum with discounted, member-rate tickets.

The HBCU Library Alliance is honored to join the DLF and stand together in support of mutual goals and opportunities to advance the digital library landscape.

Stay tuned!

Sandra
