Author and Civil Rights Activist To Speak at Drake State February 12
As part of Drake State's Black History Month program on February 12, author and civil rights activist James Meredith will speak about his experiences in the civil rights movementhttp://www.dstc.cc.al.us/sites/www/Uploads/James-Meredith2.jpg. He will speak at 9 a.m. in the cafetorium. This event is free and open to the public.
Signed copies of Dr. Meredith's new book, A Mission From God, will be available for purchase. In the book, he writes about the civil rights movement in Mississippi in 1962.
