Dear HBCU Library Alliance community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you news of the passing of Brenda Banks. I don't have details at this moment and funeral arrangements have not been announced. Arrangements will be shared with the Alliance community when they are available.
Brenda worked on several projects with LYRASIS and most recently assisted with facilitating the Opening Session of the HBCU Preservation Project. She will be greatly missed and I know that many of you knew her as a good friend as well as colleague.

Thanks for sharing. I had her for a class in library school.  Awesome personality and person. May she rest in peace.
