SAU Welcomes New Dean of Library Services and Archives

Saint Augustine's University welcomes the new dean of Library Services and Archives Scott Parham. Previously, Parham served as the branch manager and library principal for the South Fulton Regional Library in Atlanta, Ga.

"Being the dean of the Library here at SAU will allow me the opportunity to give back to the HBCU community in a much more meaningful way," Dean Parham said. "As a product of an HBCU for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I'm now in a position to help nurture and guide the next generation of students into productive, meaningful lives. With the assistance of the faculty, staff and students, I am anxious for the library to become the first choice for users in their search for information, and the first choice for our SAU community as a gathering place."

Parham received his bachelor of science degree in biology from Central State University and his master of science degree in library service from Clark Atlanta University. While at Clark Atlanta University, Parham was a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Intern. He is a member of the American Library Association.
