Greetings Colleagues, I trust you're well. Join me in welcoming Patricia A. Wilkins as the new Director of Library and Media Services at Huston-Tillotson University, Austin, Texas. Patricia served as Interim Director upon the retirement of Patricia Quarterman after 41.5 years of service in December 2009. Patricia has over 25 years experience in management of corporate, public and university libraries where she has led professional librarians in all phases of library operations, research, benchmarking, competitive intelligence and leveraging intellectual property. Pat’s professional experience includes management of the Motorola Semiconductor Product Sector Libraries and Information Research Services in Arizona and Texas. Other positions include facilitating changes in the Bucks County Library District (Pennsylvania) as the Bucks County Library Advisor to public, law and community college library directors and library managers. In addition, she has held library management positions in New Jersey and Florida. Patricia holds a Bachelor of Science from Morgan State University (College) in Baltimore, Maryland and a Masters, Library Science and Information Studies from Rutgers University, New Jersey. She has expressed enthusiasm in the potential of partnering with other HBCU Library Directors and Deans in fulfilling the mission of the HBCU Library Alliance. We look forward to her involvement!
