Reference Librarian
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is accepting resumes for a full-time, regular position with full University System of Maryland benefits.
Responsibilities: Under general supervision, provides library reference and electronic resource instruction services. This is an evening position with the following work hours: 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. during the Fall and Spring semesters. The schedule during the inter-sessions and summer sessions is as assigned. Performs other related duties assigned.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program school required. Knowledge of library computer applications, the Internet, and other information technologies required. Knowledge of library reference and electronic resources instruction preferred. Must have the ability to work closely with colleagues and library users from diverse backgrounds. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering quality public service. Knowledge of emerging information technology trends required. Reference experience in an academic library, including the ability to conduct effective reference interviews required.
Salary and Resume Deadline: Salary is negotiable. This is a twelve-month non-tenured track faculty position ranked as Librarian I.
