Harris-Stowe and BJC HealthCare Form Partnership to Provide Career Readiness for Students
ST. LOUIS, MO (March 5, 2015) - Harris-Stowe State University is proud to announce the launch of a new partnership with BJC HealthCare. The goal of this partnership is to provide career readiness and preparation for Harris-Stowe students to ensure their successes during internships and upon graduation.
Highlights of the program will include mock interviews and resume reviews, a guest speaker series focusing on career related topics, and a continuous presence on campus by BJC HealthCare through event participation and contact with faculty. All of these efforts will prove to better prepare students as they transition to the workforce and make HSSU students valuable candidates for their chosen career fields.

The kick-off event will be held in April and will include a campus-wide resume review and mock interview day. Participants will receive valuable feedback and coaching from a BJC talent acquisition specialist both on their resume and on their interviews.
Harris-Stowe State University, located in midtown St. Louis, is a fully accredited four-year institution that offers 16 degree programs in the areas of teacher education, business and arts & sciences. In 2013, HSSU ranked No. 1 in the state in degree production of African-Americans in mathematics and ranked 4th of 13 public institutions in the degree production of African-Americans (Missouri Department of Higher Education). The university, which has been in existence for more than 150 years, offers the most affordable bachelor's degree in the state of Missouri.
