Southern University System Foundation to kick off annual Million Dollar March to raise funds for five

The Southern University System Foundationhttps://foundation.sus.edu/ will kick off its annual Million Dollar March on Wednesday at 4-5:30 p.m. on the Southern University and A&M College-Baton Rougehttp://www.facebook.com/southernuniversitybatonrouge/ Facebook page. The 90-day campaign continues to be a steady boost to Foundation funds that aid Southern University Systemhttp://www.sus.edu/ campuses - Southern University and A&M Collegehttp://www.subr.edu/, Southern University at New Orleanshttp://www.suno.edu/, Southern University Shreveporthttp://www.susla.edu/, Southern University Law Centerhttp://www.sulc.edu/, and Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Centerhttp://www.suagcenter.com/. In 2021, private  philanthropic gifts to the Foundation provided more than $14.5 milliion in student scholarships, faculty research and program grants, campus operational support, and capital campus improvements.

The alumni challenge speaker is Claire Babineaux-Fontenothttps://www.feedingamerica.org/about-us/leadership/claire-babineaux-fontenot, Southern University Law Center alumna and CEO of Feeding America. Joining her in conversation will be Scottie Hunterhttps://www.wafb.com/authors/scottie-hunter/, reporter and anchor for WAFB 9News in Baton Rouge. Southern System administrators and other stakeholders are also expected to participate.
