A special message from our podcast host

Dear Friend,

My name is Sharon M. Burney, CLIR program officer and host of Material Memory. I invite you to listen to a project very close to my heart, the HBCU Library Alliance Tour, a podcast season focused on the rich histories held by Historically Black Colleges and Universities. In each episode, you will hear from the archivists, curators, and librarians who care for and preserve the records of our past. We also explore the vital role libraries have in Black communities.

My father, a proud HBCU alumnus, instilled in me the importance of controlling our historical narrative, so please help me spread the news about this podcast season—where history and primary documents collide in the storytelling of us.
