Hampton University William R. Harvey Leadership Institute Hosts 24th Annual High School Summit Virtually July 12-16

The Hampton University William R. Harvey Leadership Institute (WRHLI) will host its 24th Annual High School Leadership Summit virtually, July 12-16. This program is designed for rising high school juniors and seniors. Students will study the Principles of Leadership while exploring cultural intelligence from a global perspective.

"We are excited to engage these outstanding high school juniors and seniors virtually and educate them about what leadership is at Hampton University. We look forward to sharing our tools of success, with the goal of encouraging these students to be the best version of themselves by demonstrating the best leadership practices," said Hampton University President, Dr. William R. Harvey.

The week-long program provides students with the opportunity to establish an after graduation plan through several exciting and challenging workshops and will focus on 'commitment.' Students will also study basic leadership principles and learn how to improve their critical thinking and decision-making skills.

"We are looking forward to a week of collaborative learning opportunities for the rising juniors and seniors by the world-renowned A-listers we have planned to share their wisdom.  This year's theme is commitment and our weeklong activity is the Legacy of Leadership in the 21st Century," said Dr. Jarris Louis Taylor, Jr., Director, William R.
