The HBCU Academic Librarians Open Education Resources (OER) Project is now accepting applications for the Textbook Transformation Grant. The grant awards a minimum of $1,600 to HBCU academic librarians ($800) and General Education faculty ($800) to work collaboratively to redesign a General Education course to replace a commercial textbook with low or no-cost course materials including open education resources. Academic librarians and faculty teams who attended the HBCU Academic Librarians OER Summit on February 10-11, 2020 sponsored by South Carolina State University, are eligible to apply for the grant.

The grant application form, eligibility criteria, and other information are available on the project website by clicking on the Textbook Transformation Grant tab at the top of the home page:

An informational webinar recording is also available on the website that provides an overview of the grant.

The deadline proposals is April 1, 2020, 5:00 PM EST.
