While there, he co-developed and managed the completion of an end-to-end digital library inspired by the Library of Alexandria that is globally accessible and contains more than 600 million digitized pages. During his tenure with Internet Archive, he built partnerships with state librarians, top libraries, archives and museums across the United States, leading library consortia across North America and global, grant-funded institutions and technology company leaders such as MSN. Robert has also worked closely with LYRASIS, helping more than 100 LYRASIS partners move to the digital arena. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. Robert is a passionate advocate for archives, libraries and museums, and brings to the position a wealth of experience with the goals and needs of information professionals. His work with Internet Archive gives him a key advantage because it combines his experience with innovative, global technology solutions with a firm foundation in the cultural heritage community. Robert believes in visibility with our partner community and representing the values and mission of the organization. Robert will begin his tenure with LYRASIS on Monday, June 15, 2015. The selection was made after a rigorous national search that was finalized by the LYRASIS Board of Trustees after their April 30, 2015 meeting.
