Alzheimer’s Caregivers Education Conference set for Nov. 1

For the sixth year in a row, N.C. A&T State University will host the Caregivers Education Conference on Saturday, Nov. 1, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Alumni-Foundation Event Center.

The Center for Outreach in Alzheimer’s, Aging and Community Health has partnered with the African American Alzheimer’s Disease Research Study and the Western Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association to offer help with the critical role that caregivers play in the lives of their loved ones.

This free conference is designed to provide important information to people impacted by dementia and their family care partners. Experts from the health and research fields will inform and provide caregivers with help, hope and healing to better manage their caregiving responsibilities.

While the event is free and open to the public, registration is required for free admission. The deadline is Oct. 24. Those who do not register will be charged $10 on the day of the event. Parking is free and lunch will be provided.
