Jefferson City, MO - The Arts At Page Library, a program and space housed in Inman E. Page Library goes live today on the World Wide Web. theartsatpagelibrary.wordpress.comhttp://theartsatpagelibrary.wordpress.com aims to be an artistic, creative outlet for university students, faculty, the community, artists and art enthusiasts that are interested in African American art, history, scholarship, and education. The online space features exhibitions and collections, an online arts calendar, literary news, film trailers, art scholarship and a student docent program. The website is completely interactive and updated weekly.
Art Content
The new website offers an interactive exhibition and collection space to view, learn, and utilize art scholarship for research and leisure. In like manner, the art web space features an online monthly newsletter entitled, artPage available for free download, a literary reader’s guide, and students are eligible to apply for docent positions.  The site is user-friendly, features an online blog, search engine and is organized as if patrons were in a physical gallery space. All images are clickable on the site to learn more about arts programming.
Theartsatpagelibrary.wordpress.comhttp://Theartsatpagelibrary.wordpress.com serves the undergraduate and graduate student that is majoring in Art History, English, and the Humanities at Lincoln University. Faculty members can access and retrieve exhibitions and collections for lectures that are housed on the site. The online space will be of special use for the general public that are interested in becoming more knowledgeable about African American art history and art in general or to use for scholarship.
Currently featured on the homepage of theartsatpagelibrary.wordpress.comhttp://theartsatpagelibrary.wordpress.com are the online exhibition Part 1: Acts of Seated Experience and Archived Collection: The Photography of Berenice Abbott: The Harlem Community Art Center, Changing New York, the Social Literati Book Club, Page Library Film Societies’ Trailers and Film Schedule and the debut of ART TALKS a cultural arts discussion series, featuring work by artists of color from the past and present.

Page Library, The Arts At Page Library is an arts, cultural space and program, designed to expose students, faculty and the community to cultural artistry at a Historically Black College University Library located at Lincoln University Missouri. Through the leadership of the Arts Library Coordinator, the Advisory Arts Committee, and Student Docents, The Arts At Page Library is a premier physical and online space that provides creative educational programming, exhibitions and collections, access to an African American art book collection, art library tours and a university academic library for research and literary lecture series.
