Southern University New Orleans
July 2020
Free Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing
Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) and New Orleans East Hospital (NOEH) are partnering to ensure that our campus community and vulnerable residents have access to rapid COVID-19 testing. NOEH will be testing appropriately 200 individuals starting Monday, August 3rd, and Tuesday, August 4th at no cost to the community.
COVID-19 continues to affect our most chronically underserved and vulnerable population nationally and locally. SUNO is honored to partner with NOEH to provide tests for our residents and campus community at the highest risk. Over the past few months, we continue to forge new partnerships that meet the needs of those most impacted by COVID-19.
COVID-19 testing is a vital part of that commitment and SUNO and NOEH partnership make it possible to reach many with testing. This will support many more to remain safe, protect themselves and their loved ones, and return to work sooner and safer.
We encourage you to take advantage of the COVID-19 testing walk-up next week. According to NOEH, you will receive the test results within 24-48 hours.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone at (504) 957-8141 or via email at COVID19@suno.edumailto:COVID19@suno.edu.
