Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well.  Today I'm celebrating the 6th Membership Meeting, scheduled October 26-28 at the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown and the Atlanta University Center Woodruff Library.  Sixty-nine individuals representing 50 institutions are registered for this historic meeting. We are less than one month away from returning to Atlanta where 12 years ago and for the first time in history, more than one hundred deans and directors met to consider ways to strengthen library services.

6th Membership Meeting Registration Fee

I've reached out everyone who has an outstanding registration fee.  Contact your business office and make certain your registration fee is being processed.  Contact me immediately if you need a duplicate invoice.

Hotel Accommodations

The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown is the host hotel. Process your accommodations as soon as possible; reservation cut-off date is October 5th.  Contact me immediately if an extension is needed.

Decade of Investment Fundraising Strategy

This strategy supports the Alliance's One Hundred Plan fundraiser. Investors will be acknowledged at the Membership Meeting and listed in the program booklet. All investments must be received by Monday, October 6th to get included in the program booklet. National Center for Civil and Human Rights Tour

The new National Center for Civil and Human Rights (NCCHR) http://www.civilandhumanrights.org/ opened on June 24, 2014 in downtown Atlanta. Its mission is empowering people to personally protect human rights. NCCHR is within walking distance of the Hilton Garden Inn.

Several meeting participants will tour NCCHR on Sunday, October 26th.  If you have interest in a self-guided tour, paste this link https://tickets.civilandhumanrights.org/WebStore/shop/viewitems.aspx?CG=MAIN&C=TIX into your address bar for more information. The Center is opened Monday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the last admittance at 4:00. Tickets are $15.00. If your schedule permits, I encourage you to take this tour. The NCCHR is an amazing journey into civil and human rights experiences.
