International Online Dual Enrollment, a Bethune-Cookman University Initiative Bringing the HBCU Experience To High School Students Abroad
Students from Akhepran International Academy in Nassau, Bahamas, have joined the online college English Composition course for the fall 2017 subterm II session. Dr. Gale Gibson Gayle, Chief Online Learning Officer, and Dr. Arletha McSwain, Dean of B-CU Global Online College visited the Academy during the summer to meet interested students.
"International Dual Enrollment offers students an online opportunity to jumpstart their academic matriculation at B-CU, while providing a strong foundation through a rigorous curriculum, support, and a committed faculty," Dr. Gayle stated.
Mrs. Rhonda Wright, Principal of Akhepran International Academy is excited for the partnership with B-CU. "I look forward to many more of our students being enrolled into the dual enrollment program and transitioning into B-CU as full-time student's post-graduation," she said. The newly enrolled students have named themselves the, "B-CU 10." The sub-term program is being offered to students from sixth to 12th grade. "This most certainly opens the doorway for any child to begin their journey to university," Principal Wright added.
