Butterfield delivers $3,474,661 to ECSU

Rep. G.K. Butterfield recently delivered a check for $3,474,661 to Elizabeth City State University. The funding results from the historically black colleges and universities program (84.031B). This grant will be for the first budget period (10/01/2012 through 09/30/2013). It is anticipated that the grant will be used for a total of 5 years. The purpose of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Program is to provide financial assistance to establish or strengthen the academic resources, management capabilities, and physical plants of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
