HBCU Library Alliance holds meeting in Montgomery

The Historically Black Colleges and Universities Library Alliance will hold its first meeting in Montgomery on Saturday at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center.
Alabama State University President William Harris and Mayor Todd Strange will welcome the alliance at 8:30 a.m. Monday during its fourth biennial membership meeting and pre-conference.
HBCU Alliance attendees will participate in a broad range of presentations and programs, including new models for information literacy, archival best practices and technologies and a session on using HBCU archives to trace family history.
The group will convene its meeting Saturday and will be in town until Tuesday.
