Subject: Re: NDU Pathways (Summer Hire) Program

Sandra,

The summer internship is meant to introduce currently enrolled college students to federal career opportunities and may be a great networking tool when seeking permanent job opportunities within the federal government. Expectations are discussed with interns at the time they are selected and based on expressed career goals and needs, the internship could be further customized into a meaningful experience. The program is open to all who meet the expressed requirements in the job announcement. The Pathway Internship Program is active in many federal agencies. This particular opportunity is through the Department of Defense. This may be of particular interests to students who will be returning to the D.C. metro area during summer break or have connections to the DC metro area. The program coordinators will assist out-of- state students by connecting them to information on affordable living locations in the area.

Let me know if I may be of any additional assistance.

Jamal
