University receives over $60,000 from ExxonMobil Foundation
TUSKEGEE, Ala. (August 23, 2010) — The ExxonMobil Foundation recently provided Tuskegee University with a grant check in the amount of $62,625. The gift represents the company's three-to-one match of donations made to the University by ExxonMobil employees, retirees and surviving spouses under the Foundation's 2010 Educational Matching Gift Program.
ExxonMobil Foundation promotes math and science education throughout the United States by supporting programs that benefit both students and teachers. The company funds math and science programs in response to the nation's growing need to produce more engineers and scientists, and to develop more highly qualified math and science teachers to train the nation's youth.
The ExxonMobil Foundation has gifted Tuskegee University with a total of $322,100 from 2005-2010.
