Greetings Colleagues,
Join me in welcoming Dusty Folds to Gadsden State Community College (AL) and the HBCU Library College. Gadsden State is made up of five campuses spread over three counties in northeast Alabama.
Dusty worked in the libraries at Jefferson State Community College and Samford University in a variety of roles before accepting the position of Director at Gadsden State. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and history from Samford University in Birmingham (AL), and a Masters in Library and Information Studies degree from The University of Alabama. In addition to working in libraries, he has also taught English and reading courses and worked in financial aid at various post-secondary institutions.
Board member Jean Greene, Hinds Community College (MS), has been matched with Dusty to offer mentoring as he begins this most important work at Gadsden State.
We extend our best wishes to Dusty in his new position and look forward to his involvement in HBCU Library Alliance activities.
Send congrats to Dusty at:
