Donna Brazile to speak for Rockefeller Lecture Series at UAPB
PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Donna Brazile will be the guest presenter for the Winthrop Rockefeller Distinguished Lecture Series at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) Thursday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clemmons Arena of the Kenneth L. Johnson Sr. HPER Complex. Sponsored by a grant from the Winthrop Rockefeller Distinguished Lectures Program, the event is free and open to the public.
Author, Professor, weekly contributor and political commentator on CNN’s The Situation Room, American Morning as well as election coverage, Brazile was the first African American to direct a major presidential campaign (Al Gore, 2000). She is also a contributing writer for Ms. Magazine and former columnist for Roll Call newspaper. Brazile is founder and managing director of Brazile and Associates and a contributor to NPR’s Political Corner and ABC News. In 2004, Simon and Schuster published Cooking with Grease, Brazile’s memoir of her life and work in politics.
Brazile has served as a lecturer at the University of Maryland College Park and fellow at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics. She currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Women and Gender Studies at Georgetown University and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Washington & Lee Mock Convention.
A reception and book-signing will be held after the program from 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the arena.
