Kentucky State University Bred Basket student pantry received $1,000 grant
Kentucky State University's Bred Basket student pantry recently received a $1,000 grant from the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation.
The Bred Basket provides necessities to Kentucky State University students who may be experiencing food insecurity or other needs during their academic matriculation.
The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation is awarding grants for the 2021/2022 school year by helping fund on-campus food pantries where Sodexo employees have an active role.
Tony Weathers, the Sodexo manager at Kentucky State University, was instrumental in the grant process.
With the help of the grant, Kentucky State can continue to help students have access to nutritious and easy-to-prepare food so they may continue to focus on success in the classroom and beyond.
