Hampton University News November 14, 2016 Nationally Recognized Hampton University Center for Public Policy Most Accurate of all VA Universities in Final Presidential Poll The nationally recognized Hampton University Center for Public Policy got it right. Of all VA university Presidential polls, the final CPP poll was the closest to predicting the outcome for the state. CPP's Nov. 2016 poll discovered that Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton had a four point lead over President-Elect Donald Trump with a margin of error of plus or minus four points. While CNU's last poll forecasted Clinton ahead of Trump by six points with plus or minus of 3.6 points. Roanoke College's final poll showed Clinton with seven point lead over Trump with margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 points. Local political coverage noted CPP's accuracy as spot on in one of the most erratic campaigns seasons in history.
