DRAKE STATE COMMUNITY & TECHNICAL COLLEGE FAMILY COLLECTING ITEMS FOR AREA FIRST RESPONDERS

J.F. Drake State Community & Technical College is pleased to announce that we will be supporting First Responders in our community with a collection of goodies to put in baskets and take to the area firefighters, law enforcement precincts, EMA offices and any other paramedics or rescue groups to offer our appreciation for their tireless commitment to the safety and well-being of our community.

So, if you have any items you feel would benefit our communities most selfless people and the individuals they serve, please bring them to the Student Support Services Directorate on the second floor of Drake State's S.C. O'Neal Library by June 30, 2016.

Donation items include baskets, individually wrapped or non-perishable food items, toiletry items, new undershirts, small stuffed animals, and socks. Monetary donations will not be accepted.

Our student leaders, as well as student leaders from all ACCS institutions, will take one gift basket to the Student Leadership Institute in Columbiana, Al, July 14-15, to donate to first responders in that area. We will distribute all other baskets to first responders near our campus.
