SC State Foundation Scholarship Gala and Tribute Set for March 21

The SC State University Foundation's Board of Directors is pleased to announce its 24th annual Scholarship Gala and Tribute. The black and white affair will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 7 p.m. in the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center on the SC State campus. A reception will be held at 6:30 p.m.

"This signature, black-tie event serves as the foundation's premier fundraiser to provide scholarship support for students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence," said Edward Williams, chairman of the board of directors.

"At the gala, donors will have the opportunity to engage with some of our extraordinary student beneficiaries and learn how generous donations from individuals have impacted and, in some cases, transformed the lives of our students," added Patricia Lott, chairperson of the event.

Several sponsorship levels are available, including individual sponsorships for $175. Reserved seating will be made available in appreciation for generous donations. Reception, dinner and entertainment are included with sponsorships.

"Your support in any amount makes a significant difference in the lives of one or more students," said Lisa B. Stokes, acting executive director and gala sponsorship chairperson.

Prospective sponsors, who are willing to help make dreams become reality for aspiring educators, military officers, researchers, inventors, entrepreneurs, legislators, and successful professionals in other fields, may make their contribution online at www.scstatefoundation.orghttp://www.scstatefoundation.org/ by Tuesday, March 10 or as early as possible.
