Thank you Mary Jo for your support. I hope that I can count on other members as well. In this bid for a position on the Board of ACRL, please know that I view this as another important opportunity for greater visibility of the Alliance and our HBCU institutions.

As well, let's support Jerome in his run for OCLC-Americas Region Council.

Thank you!

Colleagues:

I am writing to inform you that I accepted the nomination to serve as the Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect for the OCLC Americas Regional Council (ARC).  OCLC is the World’s largest library cooperative and I am very excited about serving on the ARC. To successfully win the election, I will need your help, especially from those of you who have served previously. In my former role at OCLC, I was intrinsically involved with diversity issues and I am aware that diversity in representation is just as equally challenging as staff diversity.  As the ARC Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect nominee, I am the only nominee for the ARC that is from the HBCU community. I promise to represent out community well.  I am asking for your support in this endeavor and ask that you share with your colleagues in your State/network to vote for “Jerome Offord Jr” for Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect. Voting will open at the end of this month. Thank you for your time.
