Hinds CC named among best for 'two-year vocational, trade schools'

Hinds Community College has been included in the annual rankings of Community for Accredited Online Schools as among the best two-year vocational and trade schools in the nation for 2016-2017.

Community for Accredited Online Schools is a leading resource for online learning and college accreditation information. In order for educational institutions to qualify for this ranking they must be a not for profit institution, have institutional accreditation and offer at least a two-year degree program for completion.

The top schools were determined by using the following methodology:

  • Published Tuition & Fees

  • Number of Subject Areas Covered by Program Offerings

  • Student-to-Teacher Ratio

  • Percent of Students Receiving Institutional Financial Aid

  • Placement Services Upon Completion

"These schools are not only offering exceptional programs to students, but they have upheld rigorous standard through accreditation."

The San Francisco-based Community for Accredited Online Schools has distinguished its ranking scale by the use of Peer-Based Value, or PBV. The PBV score compares the cost of each program to the cost of similar programs with the same qualitative score.
