Three Mo'Tenors Coming to Cheyney University Oct. 13

After receiving rave reviews and playing to sold out houses across the country and internationally, Three Mo' Tenors will take the stage at Cheyney University's Marian Anderson Music Center at 7:30 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2012. The classically trained, multi-talented operatic tenors, have been compared to Olympic decathalon athletes who perform, not only operatic music, but also jazz, gospel, soul, spirituals, New School, Broadway, and the blues.

Conceived and directed by the highly acclaimed veteran Broadway performer, choreographer and director, Marion J. Caffey, THREE MO' TENORS showcases the extraordinary versatility of African-American tenors. The show begins with Verdi, and soon the music of Motown, Ray Charles and Usher has tenors, Duane Moody, Phumzile Sojola and Victor Robertson, grooving on the stage.

Three Mo' Tenors has been captivating audiences around the globe, incuding in New York's Little Shubert Theatre, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, Toronto, Scotland, Armenia, and Russia, since it was first televised on PBS "Great Performances" and RCA released the recording of the show.

"Three Mo' Tenors embody a musical repertoire of extraordinary breadth," Caffey explains. Through song and dance, we hope to elevate the stature of African-American musical performers in the world. Our goal is to sing our way into history."

Tickets (ordinarily $80) for Three Mo' Tenors are $20 for adults and $10 for youth and students with a school ID. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time online at www.cheyney.ticketleap.comhttp://www.cheyney.ticketleap.com. No tickets will be sold at the door.
