Tiger Plaza to offer new living experience for JSU upperclassmen
Beginning this fall, some Jackson State University upperclassmen will receive a new living experience at Tiger Plaza, an exclusive living community for JSU students.
The plaza, located in downtown Jackson at 400 1/2 Greymont Ave., is less than three miles from the main campus and has 120 rooms and 240 beds. The university has invested thousands of dollars into the facility’s renovation.
Students will begin receiving notifications about their room assignments late Monday.
All rules and regulations outlined in the Student Code of Conduct will apply. The meal plan students have selected will remain the same, and a frequent shuttle service will allow students to dine on campus.
Shuttle buses will run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The location also gives students access to JATRAN buses, which is free for JSU students. Also, several downtown areas restaurants, including Wendy’s and Domino’s, will accept the JSU Supercard (for a complete list of Supercard locations, download the JSUgo mobile app on your android or apple device).
Campus Police and Residence Life staff will monitor Tiger Plaza 24 hours a day.
