Subject: Miles College Debate Team Wins 2nd Place at the National Association of African American Honors Conference in Nashville , Tennessee

Please extend your congratulations to the Miles College Debate Team for winning second place at the debate competition during the National Association of African American Honors Programs Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Alcorn University won the first place by one point margin. Jackson State University and Tennessee State University were tied for the third place. Our debaters are Saanyol Suswam, Jynae Jones, Boubini Jones-Wonni and Amber McCants. Charles Stallworth and Alana Daniel coached the team.

Congraulations also to the Quiz bowl team which defeated Jackson State University and lost to Tennessee State University on head to head competition. The quiz Bowl team is made up of Kacie Dentlegrand, Charnese Hickling, Jaelin Ross and Ashlee Alexander. Johanna Martin and Misty McFadden coached the team.

Congratulations to all the scholarly research presenters for receiving certificates of commendation. The research presenters are William Long, Jynae Jones, William Maze, Amber McCants, boubini Jone-Wonni, Mario Mckinnon, Gloria Mobley, Saanyol Suswam, Almae Beasly, Erin Campbell, Moriah Craig, Virthal Parker, Mercedes Pearson, Dekeevan Perry, Ray Cadero, Chandler Willams and Alex Acree. Angela Williams was the coordinator of the presentations.
