Jefferson Parish City Council passed Resolution to provide tuition assistance

The Jefferson Parish City Council passed Resolution 138672, authored by Councilman Byron Lee, to provide tuition assistance to residents of Jefferson Parish who wish to attend Southern University at New Orleans.

The Parish and SUNO will offer $25,000 in scholarship assistance yearly over four years totaling $100,000 to students meeting the criteria outlined by the Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor of Advancement, who will determine the application process.
