WVSU Education Honor Society Recognized with Achieving Chapter Excellence Award
West Virginia State University's (WVSU) chapter of the international Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education has received the organization's highest honor, the Achieving Chapter Excellence (ACE) award.

The ACE award recognizes Kappa Delta Pi chapters that demonstrate excellence in membership, leadership development, and programming in support of the Society's mission and strategic goals.

The WVSU Lambda Zeta Chapter received the award at the organization's biennial convocation in Pittsburgh in October.

"I'm proud of this student organization and for their dedication to the standards set forth in this International organization," said Dr. J. Paige Carney, dean of the College of Professional Studies at WVSU. "This is the fourth time we have won this prestigious award. Thank you Kappa Delta Pi members, officers, and to the organization's advisor, Professor Barbara Korn, for proudly representing WVSU."

The Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. For over a century, the Society has consistently grown, starting with a local chapter to become the international organization it is today, with an estimated membership that exceeds 1.2 million.
