As part of our commitment to making NISO more diverse and inclusive, we are offering a number of scholarships for our upcoming inaugural NISO Plushttps://niso.plus/ conference (February 23-25, Baltimore, MD, USA). These fall into two categories — Equity & Diversity, and Early Career —  and they cover registration, travel, three nights accommodation in the conference hotel, and a stipend for food, local travel, etc. You can find more information in this blog posthttps://niso.plus/announcing-the-niso-plus-conference-scholarships/, which also includes links to the application form.

The process is pretty simple - in addition to basic information, we are asking for a 300-500 word statement on why the applicant would like to attend/what they will bring, plus an optional question about standards. Applications will be reviewed by a small committee of representatives from across our community, and we are on a fairly tight deadline as applications must be received by end of day on January 22, so that applicants can be informed on or before January 31.

We warmly invite everyone who meets the criteria to apply for one or both of these scholarships — and/or to encourage others to do so! Please feel free to contact me directly or via this list if you have any questions.

Thanks and best wishes, Alice
