Greetings HBCU Library Alliance Membership,
I trust you're well and practicing self-care. These are such exciting times for the HBCU Library Alliance!
Thus, we must now turn our attention to the election for the Board of Directors. Monika Rhue, Johnson C. Smith University (SC) and Nina Ishokir, Clinton College (SC) are transitioning to other opportunities. Additionally, there is one remaining year in the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation-funded Non-Profit Finance Fund Building Financial Resilience project that resulted in the $1,000,000.00 Change Capital grant award. NFF consultants will work with the Board to identify solutions to advance Board work during this period of change. Treasurer Tina Rollins, Hampton University (VA) is the only remaining board member who has participated in this training and provided content and detail in the Change Capital proposal. It is imperative that as current Treasurer, Tina remain on the Board in this role. Also, as Mrs. Rhue departs in mid-February, Tina will serve as interim until a new Board Chair is elected.
