Greetings Colleagues,
I trust you're well today.  Join me in welcoming Clevell S. Roseboro II to Saint Augustine's College and the HBCU Library Alliance. Clevell has been appointed Interim Director of Library Services of the Prezell R. Robinson Library at Saint Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Previously, he served as the Evening Librarian & ILL/Bibliographic Research Instructor for the college.

Clevell holds an MLS from North Carolina Central University's Graduate School of Library and Information Sciences where he was among the first cohort of IMLS Diversity Scholars, and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Science with a minor in Public Administration from Winston Salem State University. He is presently a doctoral student of Library and Information Science at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois.
Clevell's background also includes experience as an Administrative Officer for the North Carolina Central University's Graduate School of Library and Information Sciences, as a Document Delivery and Circulation Manger for Winston Salem State University's O'Kelly Library, and as a library aid/ children's storyteller at the Nye Library in Fort Sill Oklahoma. He also recently worked as a Christian 5th grade elementary school teacher at Mount Zion Christian Academy and RTP Christian Academy, of Durham, NC.

Clevell's professional interests have ranged from coaching collegiate academic debate teams, advocating for equal rights opportunities for minority librarians, developing recruitment strategies for the recruitment of minorities in LIS, and researching library management and assessment models to better improve library operations and services on HBCU's campuses. He believes that the institution of academic librarianship must accept and become familiar with the specific study behavior of its campus community, and then answer the real question 'to what extent should we move in the direction of the user and how much we should expect users to move in our direction', a concept he adopted from John Thompson's article Is Education 1.0 Ready for Web 2.0 Students.
Clevell has expressed interest and willingness to work closely with the HBCU Library Alliance.  We look forward to involving him in the very important work we do to support HBCU libraries.

Send congrats to Clevell at:
