Saint Augustine’s University to Receive Funding from Blue Cross NC This Year

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) commits itself to diversity, equity and inclusion.

They have recognized the impact that Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have on diversifying the workforce and industries, such as health care, that lack representation. And since 2018, Blue Cross NC has invested more than $5.3 million in nine HBCUs across the state.

Blue Cross NC is investing $250,000 to help cover the balances of select Pell-grant eligible, senior students. One of those students is Student Government Association President, Aaliyah Williams.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina has published the full story on their website.
