"Cox is pleased to partner with HU to bring this important show to the viewers of the region and beyond. We are so proud of the fact that we have been able to expand and extend our business relationship in this way. Congratulations to Dr. Harvey and his team for building such a great initiative," said Mike Braham, VP Cox Business.

The show is executive produced by HU President William R. Harvey, and Eleanor Earl, Assistant Professor of English and Cinema Studies. Ms. Earl also serves as HU's Cinema Studies Program Coordinator and is a 2009 recipient of the Edward L. Hamm Sr. Distinguished Teaching Award.

"The View from Hampton U will provide a comprehensive look at Hampton University's global research initiatives as well as the academic and student-based programs that we offer," explained President Harvey.  "We invite the Hampton Roads community to enjoy the program and get an up-close view of Hampton University."

Show viewers will learn about the school's outstanding academic programs, high caliber faculty, groundbreaking research and record-shattering athletics programs. And co-hosts model/actor Aaron Davis and HU student Kiva Smith bring unique experiences and perspectives to the program.  Ms. Earl, who is also the director of the show, noted, "Aaron and Kiva will captivate audiences with their in-studio interviews and on-location coverage of exciting happenings and engaging people that make our 'Home by the Sea' what it is -- a world class institution of higher learning."
