Class Title: Using Technology to Enhance User Services
Instructor: Dawn Kight, Manager of Systems and Technology, Southern University and A&M College, Baton Rouge, LA
Dawn is a Leadership Institute III graduate, and has worked as a Technology Consultant, Computer Instructor and served as a Visiting Program Officer for the Association of Research Libraries. Dawn received her MLS from Louisiana State University and in addition to the HBCU Library Alliance Leadership Institute, has participated in the Frye Leadership Institute and the Harvard Institute for Academic Librarians. Dawn enjoys sharing information and has presented at regional and national conferences.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this class, participants will be able to:
§ Identify various technologies available to improve services to information seekers
§ Identify free and not so free technology tools to support information delivery (via instruction and social networks)
Intended Audience:
§ Librarians, information specialists, technology support staff
Class Size: 25 participants
This course is designed for individual participation; each individual must register.
