Call for Participants: HBCU Library Alliance 10th Membership Meeting Working Group

Greetings Colleagues,

Planning is underway for the HBCU Library Alliance 10th Membership Meeting scheduled for Sunday, October 27 through Tuesday, October 29 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The theme is The HBCU Library Alliance: Empowering our Members to Face the Future of Democracy and Education. Registration will remain at the $350 rate of the 2018 meeting. Dr. Marybeth Gasmanhttps://cmsi.gse.rutgers.edu/content/marybeth-gasman is the keynote. She is the Executive Director of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity & Justice and the Executive Director of the Rutgers University (NJ) Center for Minority Serving Institution. Dr. Gasman wrote a Forbes article about the work of the HBCU Library Alliance, Why Supporting HBCU Libraries is Essentialhttps://www.forbes.com/sites/marybethgasman/2024/03/15/why-supporting-hbcu-libraries-is-essential/?sh=152f70d41c19. A working group of 5 is needed to assist with the implementation and coordination of membership meeting activities. Meetings will be scheduled twice monthly beginning this month.
