Greetings Colleagues,
I trust you're well. Today I'm the celebrating the Photographic Preservation Project, its significance and impact on the scholarly community. This project has successfully met is goals by providing practical training in photograph preservation and environmental monitoring and control, stabilizing at-risk photographic collections at HBCUs, and building local preservation capacity within HBCU institutions.
See Steve Eberhardt's message below and promptly respond to his request.
Respectfully,
Sandra
Dear HBCU Library Alliance Member,
The special collections of HBCU institutions are critical to the scholarly study of U.S. history. As the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation-funded HBCU Photographic Preservation Project comes to a close in December 2013, we are interested in the scholarly usage and needs of your special collections.
A brief survey (6 questions) that asks for your input has been created. Your ideas regarding special collections will inform the conversation with funders for future HBCU projects. Please be as specific as possible with your answers. The survey asks for your opinions about the scholarly usage, needs, and potential of these collections. It should take less than ten minutes to complete and is online at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HBCUSpecialCollectionsSurvey
Please contact me at steve.eberhardt@lyrasis.orgmailto:steve.eberhardt@lyrasis.org at LYRASIS if you have any questions about the survey.
Best regards,
Steve Eberhardt
