Texas Southern University to Host “Wintermester,” Opens Registration for Spring Semester

Texas Southern University (TSU) will hold a five-week “Wintermester” beginning November 30 to give students an opportunity to take online courses during Winter Break. The cost of each course is $750, and students can take a maximum of seven credit hours. Wintermester registration opens on Monday, October 26.

TSU’s Spring semester, offering both in-person and online courses, is set to begin on January 19, 2021 and closes on May 14, 2021. Early registration for Spring semester 2021 began on October 21 and open registration starts on October 26. The deadline to apply for the Spring semester is December 1, 2020.

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research Dr. Kendall Harris is excited about the variety of courses the University is offering to the students. “The course offerings students will have to select from is extensive,” said Dr. Harris, “The types of courses TSU is offering will help our students along their academic journey.”

“Texas Southern is committed to offering our students the opportunity to meet their academic requirements with minimal interruption,” said Dr. Teresa McKinney, vice president of Student Services and Enrollment Management. “This effort creates an unbroken connection and allows students to complete critical courses and reach their educational goals.”
