Sandra:
Thank you for your note, and to the membership, thank you! I am humbled, honored, and excited. People always ask me how do I make time to do what I do. I often tell them, when you love something and you are passionate about it, you make the time. I witnessed my grandparents working 12 hour days to support their family and doing what they loved, raising their children, spoiling their grandchildren, but most importantly, the care and love they put into their restaurant (nurturing the souls of the community through food). Though I love to cook, I am more passionate about HBCUs and libraries. I look forward to working with colleagues who have paved the way and giving to this august body through service. Have a happy and blessed day!
