Kentucky State University students earn D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards

Kentucky State University students earn D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards

Kentucky State University was well represented on the recently released Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards.

Twenty-one students earned the awards for Kentucky State.

In order for a student-athlete to receive an Academic Achievement Award, the athletics director of the Division II institution must:

  •    have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
    
  •    have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work
    
  •    have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year
    

The following students earned the awards in one or more sports: Dominick Lawson (baseball), Andrew Schank (baseball), Adren Thompson (baseball), Tara Jefferson (basketball), Erica Jones (basketball), Brooke Wallace (basketball), Mark Johannemann (cross country, indoor track, outdoor track), Gernee' Lockhart (cross country, indoor track, outdoor track), Cora Teets (cross country, indoor track, outdoor track), Dennis Bryant (football), Tommy Craig (football), Dayvon Ford (football), Cort Groathouse (football), Edward Jones (indoor track, outdoor track, football), Dakota Waldridge (football), Chelsey Marie (outdoor track, indoor track), Katharine Barter (softball), Paola Flores (softball), Gabriella Gracia Badillo (volleyball, softball), Jacqueline Zubiate (softball) and Aisha Cruz (volleyball, indoor track, outdoor track).
