South Carolina State University News June 7, 2016 Tax Workshop to Help Educate Small Business Owners The SC State region of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), located on the SC State University campus, will host a workshop for entrepreneurs who need assistance with preparing taxes for their small business. The seminar will take place on Thursday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Third Floor Development Room, Belcher Hall. Representatives from the Internal Revenue Service and the South Carolina Department of Revenue will facilitate the workshop. Attendees will be educated on topics ranging from recordkeeping and accounting, deductions, self-employment tax and more. Through free consulting, low-cost seminars and links to resources, the SBDC assists startups and helps to make existing businesses thrive.
