WVSU Extension Service Partners With West Virginia Dep's Watershed Improvement Branch To Host Rain Barrel Workshop October 1

West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection's (WV DEP) Watershed Improvement Branch will host a rain barrel workshop at WVSU's campus on Saturday, October 1, from 1-3 p.m.

Participants will learn about stormwater pollution and how rain barrels are used to manage it, how to construct a simple rain barrel, tips to troubleshoot common issues, information on advanced designs and steps to help prepare for winter.

Participants will receive a free rain barrel parts kit and educational pamphlets.

This is a free event and is open to the public. The demonstration will be held outside, so weather-appropriate attire is encouraged.
